City council evaluates proposed park layouts
Option 1: In this plan, the soccer fields would be terraced to accommodate the flood zone they’re in because of their location near the San Gabriel River.
Option 2: This plan shows how the fields would be laid out with the parking encompassing the fields to produce the maximum amount of parking when multiple fields are being used and other events are being held at the park.
Option 3: The city’s 18U baseball field, shown in gray, is often used by out of town teams who rent out the field. This plan envisions what it would look like to keep that revenue source for the city.
Revised Concept Plan: Taking into consideration resident feedback from open houses, this plan utilizes smaller baseball fields for youth games. It uses a similar idea to Option 2 in partially surrounding the fields with parking.
