Regional organization shoots for federal road safety

After receiving $2.3 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Capital Area Metro Planning Organization is working with the City of Georgetown to conduct a roadway safety plan to potentially receive funds from the federal Safe Streets and Roads for All grant program later this year.
