Notice is hereby given of a Substantial Amendment to the Williamson County Community Development Block Grant Fiscal Year 2024 Annual Action Plan. The County is an Entitlement Community in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD)  Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.

Proposed changes are outlined below:

Original Allocation and Project Description FY2024:

Georgetown Housing Authority FY24: $440,158

Electrical Upgrades needed to bring Stonehaven, public housing electrical to code (52 Units).

Provide and install new meter bases, new meters, and new main disconnect switches at the service entry to each dwelling unit. Provide and install new copper ground wire and rod at each service to comply with current code. Upgrade any existing ungrounded  circuits to three-wire grounded circuits. Extend larger service wiring from new meter base to the existing location of the load center  (breaker panel) inside the unit. Provide and install a new 100-amp (or larger) load center in units where there is presently a 70-amp  load center, complete with all new circuit breakers for existing circuits. Install GFCI’s. Replace riser pipes to meter cans.  Replacement of Exterior pad-mounted fused distribution panels. The City of Georgetown owns the transformers, The Georgetown  Housing Authority is responsible for the following: The exterior pad-mounted fused distribution panels adjacent to pad-mounted  transformers are extremely weather worn with signs of interior and exterior cabinet rust and rusted bottoms. In addition, some of  the conduits entering the panels on pad-mounted transformers and into metering enclosures were observed to be corroded and  exposes conductors to unauthorized personnel. The external metal service entrance conduits need to be grounded at the panels  and conduit needs to be re-worked.

Exterior Upgrade – 158 Dwelling Units at Stonehaven

Public Housing Project to include but not limited to demolition, replacing and painting of rotten rough cedar privacy entries,  removing all deteriorated wood on fascia boards, trim, soffits, wood siding and wood fencing.

Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the Substantial Amendment to the Williamson County CDBG  Office, 710 Main Street, Ste 101, Georgetown, TX 78626 or sbardwell@wilco.org. All comments received by July 18, 2025 will be  considered by Williamson County prior to completing the Substantial Amendment. Comments should specify which Notice they are  addressing.

Hudson Survey, Abstract No. 295 and being a portion of the James S Patterson Survey, Abstract No. 502, generally located at the mid-block of Commerce Blvd between Blue Ridge Drive and Park Central Blvd, from General Commercial (C-3) to Business Park (BP); repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.
