East View High School advances to basketball playoffs after win vs. Georgetown

    East View’s varsity basketball team closed out its 2026 regular season with a win over in-town rivals Georgetown High School 58-48 Tuesday night, bringing the team’s record to 24-9 on the year. Georgetown’s record fell to 11-23.

    The win sends East View to the playoffs this season. The Patriots will take on Austin Anderson High School on Monday, February 23, at 7 p.m. at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Gates open at 6 p.m.  East View will be considered the home team for the contest.
