Georgetown Police Department sees more calls for service

Despite the total calls for service from the Georgetown Police Department going up 4.25 percent in 2025, the total number of Group A offenses — which include murder, rape, assault, robbery, theft, fraud and drug charges – were down 7.38 percent from last year, according to an annual report presented by Police Chief Cory Tchida said during Georgetown’s February 10 city council workshop.
