GISD names new middle school to honor segregation-era African American educator

    Georgetown ISD’s new middle school will be named S.C. Marshall Middle, after the founder and principal of the Georgetown Colored High School in 1913. 

    GISD’s new Marshall Middle School, located on Patriot Way, is under construction and will open in 2027. Trustees approved the name April 20.
