Georgetown Life Chain returns on Williams Drive May 3

A Life Chain event is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, along the 2400 block of Williams Drive near the Pit Barbecue and across from Crestview Baptist Church.

The event is part of a nationwide effort in which participants gather for a silent, public demonstration focused on opposition to abortion. Organizers say the gathering is a peaceful time of reflection and prayer, with participants standing in remembrance of lives lost to abortion and expressing support for individuals facing crisis situations.

Registration begins at 3 p.m., followed by a one-hour gathering from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Attendees will stand along the roadside during that time. Those who are unable to stand for the full hour are encouraged to bring a folding chair. Water will be available.

The event is open to the public.
