Art Scapes: Sun City resident honors 9/11 victims with quilts

    After 9/11, Susan Hoppenworth flew to New York City to work as a volunteer mental health counselor with the American Red Cross.

    Her exhibit features nine quilts and excerpts from her journal about experiences assisting New Yorkers.

    The exhibit at Sun City’s Retreat Amenity Center, 1220 Cattleman Drive, will hang until October 14.
