Georgetown City Council unanimously approved the city’s $1.65 billion 2027 fiscal year budget on first reading on August 25, with a proposed tax rate of $0.363167 per $100 valuation.
FY27’s budget is $300 million higher than the FY26 budget of $1.3 billion. This increase is largely due to Capital Improvement Projects, which account for $903 million of the overall budget.
