Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Jarrell, Texas will conduct a public hearing for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Annual Budget on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 7:00 pm at Jarrell City Hall, 161 Town Center Boulevard, Jarrell, Texas.
The Proposed Annual budget for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $167,890 (5.34%), and of that amount $232,036 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

SOLICITED BIDS proposals addressed to Sonterra Municipal Utility District (“SMUD”), c/o 113 Limestone Terrace, Jarrell, TX 76537, will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, for furnishing all labor, supplies and supervision necessary for construction in accordance with plans and specifications for the
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SONTERRA BASKETBALL RESTROOM IMPROVEMENTS FOR SONTERRA MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS
The contract will include furnishing all labor; material, tools and equipment and performing all work for the SONTERRA BASKETBALL RESTROOM IMPROVEMENTS (the “Project”).
BIDS will be received, opened, and publicly read aloud at 2:00 p.m., at the administrative office of SMUD located at 113 Limestone Terrace, Jarrell, TX 76537 on the same date. No faxed or electronic bids will be accepted. Any proposal received after closing time will be returned unopened. Bids must be submitted on the form included in the bid documents, in sealed envelopes marked “Bid for SMUD – Sonterra Basketball Restroom Improvements”.

.BID SECURITY in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total bid, issued by an acceptable surety, must accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract with Sonterra Municipal Utility District and furnish bonds on the forms provided.
THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER OR BIDDERS will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond each in the specified amounts.
NO BID may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) calendar days.
THE AWARD will be made within 60 days of the bid opening on the basis of the lowest responsive bid received from a qualified bidder. The right is reserved to waive any informality in the bidding and to reject any or all bids.

Early Childhood Screening Child Find
Do you have a child between the ages of 3-5 or a child that will turn 3 between the months of August 2026 through May 2027, and suspect educational delays due to Speech, Developmental, Cognitive, and/or Vision and Hearing delays from birth?
According to Child Find Federal and State regulations, children who meet Texas Education Agency criteria due to one or more of the above delays, and those delays interfere significantly with educational progress in school, may be eligible for early intervention services.
The Jarrell ISD will be conducting a screening of children (within the ages listed above) with suspected delays for Jarrell ISD referrals for Special Education Services.
