Antoinette Theresa Kettle

Antoinette Theresa Kettle passed away on Saturday, November 5 at the age of 73, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Dallas on November 27, 1948, to Peter Interrante and Josephine Rose Mentasana Interrante.

Theresa was raised in Dallas where she attended Bishop Lynch High School. Following graduation she attended Texas Tech University where she met Randall (Randy) Kettle. Their long marriage was filled with movies, sporting events, music, and collie dogs which they enjoyed together. Upon Randy’s graduation they moved to Houston where she worked at Texas Instruments before taking on her greatest job, being a mom to their daughter, Christine Diane. Later, she began working for Spring Independent School District as library assistant and bookkeeper at Dueitt Middle School and then transitioned to the district level where she supported the Supplies unit. She also volunteered throughout Christine’s school years with the PTA and sewing costumes for the Starlettes drill team.

Nona, as her grandchildren named her, had a huge heart for family and loved to make connections between her immediate family and distant relatives as genealogy was her passion.

She enjoyed digging in old archives to find a name, birth date or marriage license that would allow her to add another branch to the family tree. It was also her great joy to share information with anyone in the family who wanted to learn about their heritage. Theresa was also incredibly creative–whether sewing or scrap booking. She enjoyed making t-shirt quilts for her children and grandchildren, sending homemade cards to friends and family at the holiday time or sending mail to her grandchildren while in college. She also used her sewing skills to bless others with angel wing memory gowns that she uniquely designed and sewed.

Following their retirement, Theresa and Randy moved to Georgetown (Sun City) to be closer to their children and grandchildren. When she wasn’t practicing genealogy or scrap booking you could find Theresa supporting her grandchildren’s activities, watching Southwestern men’s lacrosse, reading or playing mahjong.
Theresa is survived by her husband of 53 years, Randall Kettle, her daughter Chrstine and son-in-law, Bill Bowman (Georgetown) and brother, Ross Interrante and wife Julie (Sacramento, California). She is also survived by much loved grandchildren, Savannah Bowman (Dallas) and Elijah Bowman (Austin).

The family wishes to thank the medical professionals with the Baylor Scott and White Cancer Center, including the doctors and nurses in hematologic oncology, radiation oncology and the infusion center. Additional appreciation is sent to the staff at Bel Air at Teravista rehabilitation center and the amazing staff with the Concho Hearts Hospice team.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10 at 1 p.m. at The Worship Place, 811 Sun City Boulevard, Georgetown, Texas, 78633.

A brief reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family would be pleased with donations to the American Cancer Society.
