She attended Hutto High School where she was the student council vice president, F.H.A. parliamentarian, Hippo staff typist, and a member of the pep squad. She was voted class favorite in 1956 and she played basketball all four years where today, she still holds records. After graduation, she married the love of her life on June 15, 1957. Her faith remained important to her, and she was always active with church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.
She and Clayton attended church services and other social club events regularly, and she never missed a family event or special occasion. Even throughout her illness, she would still tap her feet in time to her favorite polka music. She was loved by many and will be missed very much.
