Carvin Oscar Youngbloom

Carvin Oscar Youngbloom was born on July 11, 1941 in Taylor, Texas, to George and Mable Youngbloom. He was the youngest of their three children.

He attended Hutto ISD all the way through high school then received a bachelor’s degree from UT. Carvin had a long career in the banking industry, followed by a position as a job coach at Westwood H.S.

In 1971, Carvin married his beautiful wife Janis, and their family grew with the addition of daughter Rachel and then their son John.

Carvin proudly served in the National Guard and was active in civic organizations. A lover of the simple pleasures in life, Carvin most enjoyed being around people. He was known to all as a friendly, approachable guy, whose door was always open. He made everyone feel welcomed and valued.

After a full and faithful life, on February 13, 2025, Carvin went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, (George Jr. and Marjorie) and his wife Janis.

He leaves his two children, their spouses, and four grandchildren to cherish his memory.

We have great comfort in knowing he is secure in heaven with his Savior, Jesus Christ, and is reunited with his precious wife Janis.

Carvin’s friendly demeanor and bright spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His gentle soul, infectious smile, and bright blue eyes will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Carvin’s life will be held at: Hutto Bible Church, on Saturday, March 15 at 10 a.m.
