After his time in the service, he obtained a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Northrop Institute of Technology and spent 35 years with Martin Marietta in Denver, Colorado, and Clear Lake City (Houston), Texas.  Bill’s career in aerospace design led him to Mission Operations and Management in several capacities including: Space Suit and Station Design, Jet Propulsion and Titan Satellite Projects.  His most meaningful project was in Life Sciences working with NASA on suit design for the boy in the bubble.

Early in 2023 they moved to The Hacienda where they continued to enjoy their new neighbors, rummy cube, chair yoga, Thursday night Happy Hours and live music and dancing whenever possible.

Bill was a skier, golfer and avid tennis player for much of his life.  Later he bowled, played pickle ball and racquetball, and enjoyed cross-country skiing. His time in the Air force took him from basic training in Mississippi to England, and he enjoyed the opportunity to travel worldwide thereafter.
