Carolyn Reed, 73, of Lampasas, passed away January 20, 2023. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel.  Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Wednesday, January 25 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Weir Cemetery in Georgetown. 

Manon (“Tina”) Lucy Marentette

Manon (“Tina”) Lucy Marentette passed away peacefully in her home in Georgetown on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Her husband, Joe, and members of their family were present at the time of her death. Tina was born to loving parents Phillip and Jacqueline Bourget, on April 19, 1944, in Montreal, Canada.

November 14, 1932 - December 25, 2022 Tom G. Owens Jr. passed away peacefully just before midnight on December 25, 2022, at Brookdale Senior Living in Denver, Colorado. He was 90 years old.

Stanley “Slick” Steve Sherek

March 4, 1954 – December 31, 2022. Stanley Sherek was born to parents Rudolph and Louise Sherek in Taylor. He raised hell and left his mark on the lives of the people that entered his life until it was time for him to rest. He fought the good fight.

Bonnie Knapp

Bonnie Knapp, age 83, died on December 27, 2022, at home in Tombstone, Arizona from her battle with breast cancer. She was born on February 10, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio. In 1957, she graduated from Roosevelt High School in Dayton, where she excelled in theater and dance. She married Fred Lewis Sr.

Billy Charles Williams

Billy Charles Williams, passed away January 17, at the age of 76. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and a friend to all. Billy served his country proudly as an officer in the U.S.

Elias Ramos Martinez, Sr.

Elias Ramos Martinez, Sr., 90, of Georgetown, passed away on January 18, 2023. Elias was the second youngest of eight born on July 27, 1932, to Alfonso Sr. and Concha Martinez in Gouldbust. After Elias graduated from Coleman High School, he enlisted in the United States Army in December of 1952.
