Continuous noise, traffic and construction grows

Is anyone else tired of the construction noise for dense housing in West Williamson County? Along Ranch to Market Road 2338, County Road 245 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard there is and has been for many months the noise of heavy construction equipment. Sometimes six days a week, eight to 10 hours a day.

The constant beeping, pecking, digging, scraping, clanking of tracks and dumping of rocks in trucks is very annoying. I can hear this noise as far as a mile away from our land. It makes it very difficult to enjoy being outside. The dense growth being pushed out into what was once ranch land 10 miles from downtown is also creating traffic danger at every intersection on the above roads. The time to go anywhere is also hindered by more traffic lights on Williams Drive and Ranch to RM2338.

The noise resonating through the trees and across the acreage from RM 2338 and RM 3405 during rush hours makes it sound like Interstate 35 is nearby.

I can understand why long-time county residents are selling out and moving. Besides the money, they are probably tired of the noise, traffic, ETJ restrictions and taxes the dense growth brings. The masses of city dwellers on tiny lots does not mix well with the county land lifestyle. They just bring city problems and ETJ restrictions to county residents with no concern for our quality of life or property rights.
