League of Women Voters assists residents for spring election

The League of Women Voters of Williamson County is holding several voter registration events around Wilco before the Monday, February 5, cutoff date to participate in Texas’s March 5 primary election.

Williamson County opens Emergency Operations Center

Williamson County Office of Emergency Management has opened the county’s Emergency Operations Center in response to the Winter Weather Advisory and possible icy conditions in the county early this week.

Georgetown opens warming center to provide shelter during low overnight temps

The Madella Hilliard Neighborhood Center, located at 803 West Eighth Street, Georgetown, opened as a warming center  for people needing shelter Sunday, January 14, as temperatures dipped under 20 degrees.

Round Rock student, programmer starts nonprofit to better the world

Tech entrepreneur, inventor, speaker, author and, most recently, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founder — 12-year-old Arjun Sharda of Round Rock has it all and he’s just getting started.

Williamson County AgriLife kicks off new year with events

The Williamson County AgriLife Extension office will start the new year with multiple events beginning January 2024.     Green Thumbs Up Gardening Program Master Gardener Lora Green will be discussing hardscape and how to integrate it into your outdoor areas, according to the press release.
