Prima Dora gift store is moving into the former live music room in Barrels and Amps on the corner of Eighth Street and Austin Avenue. Prima Dora sells games and gifts geared toward adults — such as cocktail wear, adult card games and candles. The new location will open August 9 at 5 p.m.

GT School, a new gifted and talented private school for students kindergarten through eighth grade is opening in Georgetown on 2351 Westinghouse Road in August. At the GT School, teaching will be automated.

Georgetown pageant Queen spreads awareness of sober living

Sugar Mommy’s Bakehouse is based out of a blue cottage on South Austin Avenue. With a pink door and carousel-like animal statues, the bakery looks like the board game Candy Land. Inside, customers  find display coolers full of elaborately decorated cupcakes, cake pops, desert bars and cookies.

Red Horn Brewery & Roastery unites again to create ‘Undercover Cowboy’

Red Horn Brewery’s Hazy IPA ‘Undercover Cowboy’ became available this spring on draft and in cans at their two restaurant locations, with plans to expand to other retailers soon.“[The logo] is the silhouette of a cowboy wearing sneakers,” co-owner Chad Misner said.
