Adults hone artistic skills this summer

A series of summer workshops hosted by the Georgetown Arts and Culture Program will be offered at the Georgetown Art Center between July 21 and August 11. There are four different classes geared toward those ages 18 and older. Classes range from $75 to $120 per session.

David Valdez presents at the WCAG meeting

The Williamson County Art Guild is hosting an artist reception at 708 South Rock Street from 5-7 p.m., June 7. New and unique art created by local artists will be center stage along with refreshments and live music. WCAG typically hosts receptions on the first Friday of each month.

2024 Texas Bach Festival moving to First United Methodist Church

The Texas Bach Festival — on its way to becoming a Georgetown musical institution — will settle into a new home in its 2024 season, First United Methodist Church. This year is also FUMC’s 175th anniversary in Georgetown.

Liberty Hill honors ‘hometown heroes’ at festival

The Liberty Hill Sculpture Festival honored local businesses during its 2023 Sculpture Festival Saturday, October 21, at Lions Foundation Park. The festival takes place every October to celebrate the history of the Sculpture Park.

The City of Taylor celebrated Olympian Fred Kerley Saturday, February 4, by dedicating a mural painted by artist Adam Davenport. The Taylor High School and Texas A&M graduate won the Silver Medal in the 100 meter event at the 2021 Olympic Games held in Tokyo.
