Galaxy Bakery offers elevated desserts

It’s natural to develop a sweet tooth every year during the holiday season, and Galaxy Bakery just off the Square is an easy remedy. Owned by Georgetown’s Ike Thorpe, Galaxy Bakery opened in 2013 and offers cupcakes, cookies, pastries and coffee drinks.

Sugar Mommy’s Bakehouse

Sugar Mommy’s Bakehouse is based out of a blue cottage on South Austin Avenue. With a pink door and carousel-like animal statues, the bakery looks like the board game Candy Land. Inside, customers  find display coolers full of elaborately decorated cupcakes, cake pops, desert bars and cookies.
