Signs around Georgetown could get a facelift

Signage around downtown and other parts of Georgetown that helps direct visitors and add to the aesthetic of the city could be updated according to Downtown and Tourism Director Kim McAuliffe, who spoke about potential changes during the March 12 Georgetown City Council workshop.

Georgetown City Council to raise maximum Square building heights

As part of the continued discussion around building heights in the downtown area, Georgetown City Council provided city staff direction to raise the allowed building height in the outer parts of the nineblock Square from 40 feet.

Rock Street promenade takes shape

As part of Georgetown’s ongoing discussions about the Downtown Master Plan, Georgetown City Council heard updates about a plan to create a Rock Street promenade that would include a large public walkway.

Georgetown seeks input on Downtown Master Plan

Georgetown residents can leave feedback on how they want to use the downtown area, as well as what types of improvements they feel necessary, as the city prepares to update its Downtown Master Plan. A survey is available online until April 10 at https://designworkshop.co1.qualtrics.

Georgetown receives feedback from public, council on Downtown Master Plan

The public received an overview of the city’s upcoming work to create a new Downtown Master Plan Tuesday, January 10.  “We’re here to talk about the Downtown Master Plan update and where we’re at in that process,” Downtown and Tourism Director Kim McAuliffe said.
