Florence Independent School District Education Foundation Board members presented Florence Elementary School teacher Sarah Stephens with a $250 check Wednesday morning. Selected by Superintendent Rick Kirkpatrick as part of the Teacher of the Month program, Ms.

GISD trustees officially hire new superintendent

In a special meeting on August 7, Georgetown ISD trustees unanimously hired Devin Padavil as the district’s next superintendent.  Following the board vote, Mr. Padavil thanked the board and acknowledged the “high hopes” trustees have for his leadership.

Georgetown ISD trustees select Taylor ISD superintendent as lone finalist

Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees have named Taylor ISD superintendent Devin C. Padavil as the lone finalist for the GISD superintendency.  The announcement was made Monday, July 17. “We are excited to welcome Dr. Padavil to Georgetown,” Board President Elizabeth McFarland said.

Jarrell ISD officials celebrated completed upgrades to district athletic facilities with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Jarrell High School stadium on June 7. The $1.75 million project was funded through the voter-approved 2021 bond program.
