Jarrell ISD cuts ribbon on new school

With a snip of the scissors, kids, parents and educators celebrated the opening of Jarrell ISD’s new Berry Creek Elementary School Monday, June 8. Members of the new school community flowed inside after the ribbon cutting with “oohs” and “aahs” over the new campus in Berry Creek Highlands.

Jarrell ISD to launch hybrid learning pilot program

Jarrell ISD is expanding opportunities to meet high school students’ needs by launching a new Hybrid Learning Pilot program for the 2026-27 school year. The Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees approved the pilot during its May 20 meeting.

Richarte grads honored

The Richarte High School Class of 2026 Commencement was held at the Rodney and Mary Klett Performing Art Center on Thursday, May 21, 2026.  This year Richarte had 128 graduates, with 108 of them scheduled to walk the stage for their degrees.     Photos by Andy Sharp.

Georgetown ISD names new Richarte High School principal

Georgetown ISD trustees on April 20 named Drew Nichols as the next principal of Richarte High School, the district’s alternative high school of choice. He will assume his role at Richarte in July.Mr.

Students shared how their Georgetown ISD experiences have built inspiration and confidence during a panel at the State of the District event held at the Future Ready Center March 6.

Granger ISD celebrates new secondary school opening

In a sea of purple and gold, Granger ISD students, parents, grandparents, alumni and just friendly neighbors turned out February 25 for the ribbon-cutting and free-range touring of the new Granger Secondary School.“It’s a great day to be a Lion,” GISD superintendent Stephen Brosch told the crowd.

School Notes: Georgetown High School Lady Eagles salute Gym Rat Challenge finishers

The Georgetown High School Lady Eagles Basketball Program recently recognized several young athletes for completing its annual Gym Rat Challenge.This off-season skills program is offered following the annual Lady Eagles Summer Basketball Camp.
