Council members, developer debate building impact fees

A proposed project that would straddle Georgetown and the City of Weir’s extraterritorial jurisdictions could bring 340 acres of single-family housing, a school site and an amenity center with some commercial aspects to the area. The proposed development is tentatively called the Pinnacle MUD.
The roadways through the development are currently conceptual as they will have to meet road spacing standards set by the city’s Unified Development Code.

Disannexed property changes course

A property that left Georgetown’s extraterritorial jurisdiction is now requesting to come back into the ETJ, with eventual annexation into the city as the ultimate goal. The ETJ is a designated buffer area just outside the city limits, according to the city.

Wastewater package plants spring resident concerns

Georgetown, Wilco enter into two interlocal agreements

Two interlocal agreements between Georgetown and Williamson County were approved by the City Council during the December 12 meeting.  The first agreement is related to design and construction for water line improvements along Ronald Reagan Boulevard. The city will take on 40.

The future of Georgetown’s ETJ hangs in uncertainty

On May 19, the Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 2038. The bill allows property owners of land inside a city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction to petition to leave or disannex from a city.  The ETJ is a designated buffer area just outside the city limits, according to the city.
