Georgetown’s own drafted by Minnesota Vikings

East View High School alumnus Levi Drake Rodriguez was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round of the NFL draft Saturday afternoon.He was at his some in Georgetown, surrounded by friends and family when he got the call from the Vikings organization.

Hometown Headliner: East View grad eligible for NFL Draft

Levi Drake Rodriguez is a former East View High School football player who attended Texas A&M University-Commerce and Southwestern Assemblies of God University to earn a degree and play football at the college level.

Cross-town rival high schools came head-to-head to claim Birkelbach Field Friday. The showdown resulted in the Georgetown Eagles winning against the East View Patriots 31-13.

Georgetown Eagles start football season strong
