Library faces space constraints

A year’s worth of research has revealed that the Georgetown Public Library needs more square footage to expand its services to meet future expected demands.

Town hall covers sidewalks, drainage, energy planning

18-building mixed-use project request PID approval

Georgetown takes direction from county study in updating floodplains

City moves forward with short-term rental regulations

Georgetown will implement a registration permit requirement to help keep track of the growing number of short-term rentals offered throughout the city. Registration will be used to make sure Hotel Occupancy Taxes are being collected and paid to the city.

City branches out with new tree code

Georgetown is looking to update requirements on tree preservation for both neighborhood and commercial areas as part of the city’s ongoing efforts to update the Unified Development Code.
