Georgetown ISD trustees on Thursday, May 1, got a first look at — and gave a thumbs up to — a Leadership Profile that will help them select a new superintendent. The document describes the desired qualities and strengths GISD is looking for in the district’s next superintendent.

At Georgetown ISD's Richarte High  School, 82 graduates received their diplomas Thursday, May 25. With others completing their course work this summer, the high school class will have 112 total graduates.

Georgetown ISD trustees saluted the top-ranking students from the Class of 2023 at their May 17 meeting. East View High School  Valedictorian Ryan Nicholas Shellberg plans to attend Baylor University and double major in economics and entrepreneurship to pursue a career in real estate.

Two trustees — one returning, one new — were sworn in to office during the Monday, May 15, Georgetown ISD board meeting. Stephanie Blanck and Anthony Blankenship filled the Places 4 and 5 seats, respectively. The two won their May 6 school board election. Ms.
