Georgetown evaluates water resources

As the Georgetown community continues to see significant population growth, city staff and elected officials are considering efficient and economical ways to secure water resources through 2070.

The street-facing facade is in place and the store is expected to open later this year. On the left, work continues on Ascension Seton Health Center. H-E-B, Costco and more: Updates on major developments planned for Wilco

Cities in Williamson County saw the beginnings of several large manufacturing, infrastructure and industrial developments in 2022, including the groundbreaking on Georgetown’s incoming South Lake Water Treatment Plant and construction on the Samsung semiconductor in Taylor.

Gas prices in 2022 were prone to fluctuations, with the price of regular unleaded fuel starting low in the beginning of the year and hitting its highest recorded per gallon rate in June.

Robert Dewey (R.D.) McMillan, Jr., age 93, of Georgetown, formerly of Houston, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Georgetown. R.D. was born August 16, 1929, in Houston to Robert Dewey and Georgia Ullrich McMillan. On March 16, 1951, he married Shirley Smidth in Houston.

David August Siekmeier

David August Siekmeier, passed away December 16, 2022, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, at the age of 81. He had been doctoring with a son-in-law’s Cancer Center since May 1, 2021. He and his wife, Carol, moved to Texas in 2006 from LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
