Lifelong Learners starts fall session with free lecture series

Lifelong Learners Georgetown, formerly Senior University, is a continuing education community that has provided adult courses for over two decades.Volunteers with outstanding credentials give in-person presentations on the arts, science, history, technology, geography, medicine, music and more.

Learn about the solar eclipse with Lifelong Learners GTX and the library

In a collaboration between the Georgetown Public Library and Lifelong Learners GTX, formerly Senior University, Dr. Clark Wernecke will give a presentation about the solar eclipse, an astronomical event that Central Texas will soon experience.

“I listen to TV and I listen to the dumb, dumb things people say,”  said Winnie Bowen, who at 92 is one of the oldest members of Senior University. “It just kinda blows my mind how incurious some people are. They just don’t have any curiosity about anything.
