New kid on the block: Florence welcomes new restaurant on Main Street

 A new restaurant in Florence hopes to take after the city’s namesake and “flourish” as a destination for residents looking for food on the downtown strip.Sailer’s Place Cafe and Bakery opened at the beginning of November at  208 East Main Street, Florence, and is off to a good start.

Camp Briteside brings summer camp vibe to Georgetown restaurant scene

Up the road on Williams Drive, Camp Briteside is creating a new restaurant, bar and outdoor space for residents in Northwest Georgetown. Located on a 54-acre property at 8701 Ranch Road 2338, the business will have a grand opening this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Interior design boutique and café calls South Main Street home

“Do all things with love, with amor.” That’s the business model for Jasmin Sky Peña, who opened interior design store Decor with Amor and Pan Tostado Café with her husband, Mario Esquivel. “You have to do all things with love because that will reflect on your work,” she said.

Gold Burger Diner ready for service on the Square

Burgers, boozy milkshakes, all-day breakfast and a jukebox that plays old tunes are now on the Square.Gold Burger Diner could open as early as next week on Seventh Street in the building that housed Gold’s Department store from 1936 to 1996.
