Palace Playhouse celebrates National Women’s History Month with ‘Silent Sky’

During the late 19th century and into the early 20th, the Harvard College Observatory hired small groups of women to work as “human computers,” analyzing and recording the positions of stars on images captured by telescopes and transferred to photographic plates.

Playtime: ‘The Play That Goes Wrong’ opens at the Palace

The Play That Goes Wrong debuted at London’s Old Red Lion Theatre in 2012 and has been delighting audiences since. The whodunnit comedy mystery was winner of the 2015 Olivier Award, for Best New Comedy.

Broadway, film veterans to take the stage at Palace Theatre fundraiser

Musical theater fanatics and newbies alike are invited to the Georgetown Palace Theatre’s upcoming “Love, Broadway” show and fundraiser.  The fundraising productions, which feature Broadway veterans Carter Calvert and Raymond Jaramillo McCleod, begin at 7:30 p.m.

It’s Tuna time again in Georgetown

The Palace Playhouse production of A Tuna Christmas debuted to a full house December 2. Ed Howard, Jaston Williams and Joe Sears created Greater Tuna and first presented it in venues around Austin in 1981.
