Round Rock approves construction projects

Round Rock City Council Members approved multiple construction projects related to parks during its July 27 meeting. Lake Creek Trail construction will begin later this year.

Williamson County considering $1.6 billion in projects for future road bond

Williamson County’s Citizens Bond Advisory Committee Tuesday, June 27, outlined $1.6862 billion worth of proposed road projects and $78.9 6 million in park projects that could be funded through a future county bond package.

Wilco and YMCA opens bridge at Twin Lakes Park

Williamson County and the YMCA of Central Texas hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the Twin Lake Park Pedestrian Bridge in Cedar Park June 20. The Twin Lakes YMCA is located at 204 East Little Elm Trail.    The 300-foot bridge connects the 50-acre YMCA property to the 6.

Georgetown city pools opening on Memorial Day

Georgetown public pools will open for the summer season on Memorial Day weekend. The Recreation Center outdoor, Williams Drive, River Ridge and Village pools open Saturday, May 27. However, the Recreation Pool will close May 28-29, while the River Ridge Pool will close Monday, May 29.

Garey Park receives $20 million from namesake’s estate for updates

Improvements are on the horizon for Georgetown’s Garey Park thanks to a $20 million donation from namesake Jack Garey’s estate. Details of the financial gift were presented to city council by Parks and Recreation Director Kimberly Garrett during a March 28 workshop.
