Cops vs. Grannies: Texas Fire Ants face Georgetown Police in charity game

The Texas Fire Ants, a Granny Basketball team, played a charity game against the Georgetown Police Department at East View High School on Saturday, January 17.  The game, won by the Fire Ants with a final score of 55-47,  benefited the Carver Center for Families.

The annual Christmas Stroll was held in downtown Georgetown on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Georgetown meal brings community together

Georgetown Community Thanksgiving, held at the San Gabriel Community Center on Thursday, November 27, 2025, is an annual event that offers free holiday meals to everyone. This year, it was sponsored by the Georgetown Police and Fire Departments, the Georgetown Beard Club and G.W.
Church member Nancy Bottinger enjoys spending time with her almost 7-month-old granddaughter Alice Wasson while they attended the 22nd Annual  Come Home for Christmas Celebration held at St. John’s Methodist Church on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Heritage Farm Day in East Williamson County

Heritage Farm Day, held at the 125-year-old Lutonsky Farm on Saturday, November 15, 2025, was hosted by the Greater Taylor Foundation Food Insecurity Council.   Among the activities were antique tractors, hay rides, tours of the Lutonsky home, games, pony rides, and  a petting zoo.
