A royal time in Georgeotown

The Society for Creative Anachronism Bryn Gwald Candlemas met Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Georgetown Community Center in San Gabriel Park.  The group members from Texas and Oklahoma, about 200 this weekend, are called the Stellar Kingdom of Ansteorra.

Georgetown serves up community on Thanksgiving

Georgetown's Community Thanksgiving was held Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the San Gabriel Community Center in San Gabriel Park.  About 200 pounds of turkey breast, combined with numerous side dishes, drinks and desserts were provided at no charge to anyone who wanted a Thanksgiving meal.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Georgetown, the Field of Honor includes 2,000 American flags covering ten acres in San Gabriel Park. The Rotary Club of Georgetown Foundation will be hosting the eighth annual Field of Honor at San Gabriel Park from November 9-17 in honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11.
