TxDOT gathers public input on I-35 improvements through Williamson County

Williamson County residents got a closer look at potential Interstate 35 improvements Thursday, August 13, as the Texas Department of Transportation gathered public input on plans to widen and improve the 13-mile corridor between Georgetown and Round Rock.

Purple Martin Parties, hosted by Travis Audubon, are being held behind the Wendy’s at 607 Louis Henna Boulevard,  Round Rock, on Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8, from 8-9 p.m. Numbering in the thousands,  birds nest here before continuing their journey to a winter home in South America.

First Texas Bank sees a rise in fake money in business deposits

Businesses across Central Texas are increasingly depositing prop money that resembles U.S. currency, according to First Texas Bank, which says its tellers in Georgetown and other branches have seen a noticeable rise in the fake bills over the past three months.

Round Rock water parkThe City of Round Rock celebrated the completion of the Rock’N River Phase 3 Expansion Project on May 22 at 3300 East Palm Valley Boulevard. The project includes a 775-foot action river with two wave features: a typhoon wave generator and a barrel roll wave generator.

Williamson County increases intercity connection with County Road 110 North

The County Road 110 North project broke ground Thursday, February 5, as part of an initiative to extend the road to Rockride Lane to connect with Patriot Way and Sam Houston Avenue.

Art scapes: New arts center opens in downtown Round Rock

The City Arts Center in downtown Round Rock opened its doors in the Griffith Building offering ample space for art plus two-story-high cathedral ceilings and views of the paseo. This revitalized building was once a fire house, an auto shop, City Hall and the library.
