Two Justice Complex listening sessions upcoming

Williamson County will host two come-and-go community feedback sessions for its Justice Complex project this coming week.  Both meetings will be held at the Williamson County EMS North Campus, 3189 SE Inner Loop in Georgetown. Meetings will be held: Saturday, August 22, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Williamson County issues Burn Ban

The Williamson County Commissioners Court has issued a countywide burn ban effective at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, for up to 90 days due to increased drought conditions.The Commissioners Court or County Judge may lift the order earlier if conditions improve.

The 19-day MAMAMOO 2026 U.S. tour features members Solar (vocals), Moonbyul (rapper), Wheein (vocals) and Hwasa (rapper) on a reunion tour celebrating the group’s 12th anniversary. Local fans can catch the group at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Friday, August 21, at 7:30 p.m.

Williamson County selects 75 spots for November election

In preparation for the November 3 election, Williamson County Commissioners Court approved 24 early voting locations and 75 election day locations on August 11.

Williamson County commissioners review $411 million proposed budget

Williamson County’s proposed 2027 Fiscal Year budget is 2.5 percent higher than last year’s, about a difference of $10.3 million.Budget Officer Ashlie Holladay presented the proposed $411 million budget to county commissioners during a preliminary budget discussion on Tuesday, August 11.

The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved the distribution of $2 million in U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development funding to 12 recipients during the August 4 meeting.

State of the County: Williamson County outlines long-term vision for growth, water and public safety

Williamson County Judge Steve Snell laid out a wide-ranging vision for the county’s future during an hour-long conversation on July 14.The discussion covered everything from budget priorities to a decades-long water plan while highlighting services many residents may not know exist.
