A night of memories: Sun City gala raises more than $20,000 for A Gift of Time

A Gift of Time’s “Night of Classic Memories” fundraising gala lived up to its name March 5. More than 320 people attended the event, raising more than $20,000 for the nonprofit.F7 Group Foundation sponsored and organized the gala on A Gift of Time’s behalf.
Singers from the Heritage Oaks Chorus, led by Kathleen Bohn, performed Christmas favorites on Wednesday, December 3, during A Gift of Time’s weekly respite at St. John’s Methodist Church. The choir consists of members who live in the Heritage Oaks neighborhood, near the intersection of Williams Drive and Shell Road. The chorus will host a spring concert in May, open to the public at the Heritage Oaks clubhouse.

A Gift of Time Georgetown kicked off Christmas season festivities December 3 with a music program – and more – during its weekly Wednesday respite at St. John’s Methodist Church.Singers from the Heritage Oaks Chorus, led by director Kathleen Bohn, performed holiday favorites.
Residents and staff from Grand Living’s memory care unit enjoyed a musical program Vic Figurelli, from A Gift of Time, presented July 17 as part of Camille’s Memory Café. Mr. Figurelli leads the memory cafes at Grand Living on the first and third Monday of each month. A Gift of Time also presents live memory café programs at Georgetown Public Library on the third Friday of each month.

Memory Café programs now offered at Grand Living

A Gift of Time has expanded its popular live programming for Camille’s Memory Café and is now offering twice monthly sessions at Grand Living Georgetown, 1330 West University Avenue.

A Gift of Time needs more volunteers for respite program starting June 7

A Gift of Time Georgetown is ready for a Wednesday, June 7, launch of its respite program at St. John’s United Methodist Church. But more volunteers are needed, in order to open the program up for more participants.

As President Harry Truman said, “the only thing new in the world is the history you do not know.” With that in mind, Camille’s Memory Café had an educational focus March 17.

A Gift of Time Georgetown welcomed about 50 supporters and visitors to its open house and ribbon cutting September 29. To better serve clients, earlier this year A Gift of Time moved from downtown to a larger facility at the Getsemani Center, located at Church and 19th streets.
