Being able to walk and play with energetic dogs at the Georgetown Animal Shelter, volunteer Selena Almaraz receives special attention and love from Glory. Glory is a Level 3 dog because she is a large dog with lots of energy.

The Salvation Army’s red kettle began as a lobster pot in San Francisco in 1891, when Captain John Gantner wanted to feed 1,000 destitute people near Fisherman’s Wharf.
