21-year-old launches campaign for House District 20

A father-son duo are taking on Republican incumbents John Carter and Terry Wilson in this November’s general election. A 21-year-old, Matthias Early, is running against Representative Wilson in House District 20, which covers the western half of Williamson County.

The Williamson County Republican Party hosted a candidate forum at Vintage Church in Liberty Hill on January 29. Seven Republican candidates vying for the November ballot presented their stances during the two-hour conversation.

Voters should expect precinct-level polling places on election day

Residents who plan on voting during March’s primary election will face different rules depending on if they plan to vote early or on election day. Williamson County’s Republican Party has decided to require precinct-level voting on Election Day, March 3.

Congressional reshuffle: Williamson County passes new voting precinct lines for 2026 elections

Fifty-three congressional voting precincts will be changed ahead of elections in 2026.The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved the new precinct boundary changes on October 28. The boundaries were established as part of Texas’ second special legislative session this summer.
