Georgetown voters approve $135 million in bonds

Results that came in on the night of Election Day, November 7, show Georgetown voters in support of all four proposed city bonds, totaling $135 million.  The final unofficial results show 51.05 percent of voters supported Proposition A. Proposition B saw 58.97 percent of voters in favor and 67.

Williamson County residents OK road, park bonds

Williamson County residents have approved both of the county’s 2023 bond propositions.  “The voters have overwhelmingly confirmed the direction we are going in Williamson County,” County Judge Bill Gravell said in a statement to the Sun.

ESD 9 voting error

Williamson County discovered an error with the early voting ballots of some residents within Emergency Service District 9 and is working with the Secretary of State’s Office on a solution.

Early voting starts October 23

With numerous elections taking place throughout Williamson County, Wilco residents will have an opportunity to vote early beginning October 23 and on election day November 7. County residents can visit any Williamson County polling location to cast their vote.

Williamson County hosts first bond information open house

Williamson County residents had an opportunity to learn about and discuss the upcoming county bond election at an open house at the Georgetown Annex off of Wilco Way October 3. Two county bonds will be up to vote in November.

Elections Administrator Chris Davis resigned from Wilco

The Williamson County Election Commission accepted the resignation of Williamson County Elections Administrator Chris Davis effective immediately at the August 9 meeting. Starting at 9:30 in the morning, the commission entered into executive session for a private hearing for the employee.

Blankenship, Blanck sworn in to Georgetown ISD board seats

Two trustees — one returning, one new — were sworn in to office during the Monday, May 15, Georgetown ISD board meeting. Stephanie Blanck and Anthony Blankenship filled the Places 4 and 5 seats, respectively. The two won their May 6 school board election. Ms.

ELECTION FINAL: Incumbents win in Georgetown, GISD races 

Josh Schroeder will remain Georgetown’s mayor, and Stephanie Blanck will continue serving as Georgetown ISD’s Place 4 representative after winning their respective races during the May 6 election.  In the Georgetown mayoral race, Mr. Schroeder received a total of 5,340 votes, or 85.

Get out and vote! Election day is Saturday

For residents who missed early voting, election day for Williamson County joint general and special elections is Saturday, May 6. Georgetown residents can vote in the city’s mayoral election, with incumbent Mayor Josh Schroeder facing challenger Jonathan Dade.
