April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month. As part of the growing need, two children’s advocacy organizations hosted events to start the month. CASA of WilcoCourt Appointed Special Advocates of Williamson County celebrated the opening and dedication of the nonprofit’s new training room.

Williamson County nonprofits set for 2024 gala

The Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA of Williamson County will host the 2024 Destination: Hope Gala on Friday, March 8.
The third-annual gala will occur at the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Round Rock from 5:30-10 p.m., according to a press release sent from CASA.

$20,000 awarded to CASA of Williamson County

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Williamson County received a $20,000 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation to assist in program growth.
CASA Wilco plans to use these funds to help fund an additional Advocate Supervisor position, according to a news release.

CASA Wilco receives grant, adds new marketing coordinator

CASA of Williamson County has been awarded a $189,000 grant from the W.D. Kelley Foundation.
CASA Wilco is a social services organization that advocates for children who have experienced abuse or neglect to find loving, safe, and permanent homes.
