Clouds and light rain didn’t ruin the day for veterans from Touchmark at Georgetown Wednesday, who were honored for their service through a Dream Flight in a refurbished 1943 open-air two-seater plane called the Spirit of Texas.

On a brisk November morning at Georgetown airport’s Cutter Aviation hangar, veterans and their spouses from The Oaks Gracious Retirement Living waited anxiously for their Dream Flight.

A special hangar at the Georgetown Executive Airport was buzzing with excitement November 9. The skies were cloudy with potential rain in the forecast, but military veterans from The Oaks Gracious Living were anxiously waiting their turn to fly high above Georgetown with DreamFlights.
