Mindy Graber is guest speaker at WCAG

The Williamson County Art Guild welcomes Mindy Graber as the guest speaker for its February 7 meeting. She is an artist in the Austin area working primarily in mosaic and resin art.  Her love of art started as a very young child doodling fostered by her father, who is also an artist.

February is Black History Month and the Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association is celebrating with a series of events following the month’s national theme of “Black Resistance.

Musicale at Southwestern February 3, 3 p.m. The Sarofim School of Fine Arts’ Music Department will present “Musicale,” is a regularly occurring recital that showcases the performances our music students have been developing throughout the semester.

Georgetown bulky-waste pickup changes dates

Bulky pickup days are changing for Georgetown residents. Pickup services will coincide with each customer’s regular trash day beginning Monday, February 6.  Services were previously provided on Saturdays. Waste pickup days vary depending on each residential and commercial address.

At age 27, Taylor native Fred Kerley has certainly made his mark on the world as a track and field star.
