Operation Christmas Child collection is this week in Wilco

Seven churches in Williamson County will be among nearly 5,000 U.S. drop-off locations collecting shoe box gifts for children overseas during Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week. The special week for 2022 donations is November 14 to 21. After collecting 10.

Lighting of the Square to bring holiday cheer November 25

Christmas is coming early this month with Georgetown’s annual Lighting of the Square. The event, which is a collaboration between the city and Williamson County, takes place the evening of Friday, November 25, the day after Thanksgiving.

Field of Honor Through November 12 The sixth-annual Field of Honor sponsored by the Rotary Club of Georgetown is scheduled for November 5-12. The display featuring more than 1,000 American flags can be found at San Gabriel Park.

Community Thanksgiving returns November 24

Georgetown’s Community Thanksgiving is coming back the first time since 2019. The dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 24. The sitdown meal will be free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
