East View stage performances December 1-3 East View High School’s The Character Company will present a back-to-back duo of shows December 1-3. Honey Girls, a Texas premiere, will have performances at 7 p.m. on December 1 and 3. 4,000 Miles performances will be December 2 at 7 p.m.

Sara Hickman is coming to town

Musician Sara Hickman is bringing holiday cheer to Georgetown with a sing-along at Lark & Owl Booksellers. The ticketed event takes place at 7 p.m. Friday, December 9, at the bookstore, 205 West Sixth Street in Georgetown.

Georgetown’s Community Thanksgiving set for Thursday

Georgetown’s CommunityT hanksgiving is coming back the first time since 2019. The meal will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 24. The sit-down dinner will be free of charge on a first-come, first served basis from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Holiday food drive begins at The Caring Place

Because of a dip in food intake this year, The Caring Place is holding a fundraiser over the winter months to support families in need. “Last year we raised over $87,000 for the food pantry during the final three months of the year alone,” said David Earl, food programs and facilities director.

Texas Bach Festival to offer Danube River Cruise in 2023

The Texas Bach Festival will offer a luxury Danube River Cruise vacation, April 22-29, 2023, in the land of Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart. The cruise will include Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Salzburg/Linz, with an optional extension to Prague.

Block party promotes community in North Old Town neighborhood

Dozens of neighbors gathered Sunday, November 13, for the second annual North Old Town Block Party. During Sunday’s event, North Old Town residents and neighbors enjoyed games, lunch and conversation.

Breakfast with Santa set for December 17 in Georgetown

The 22nd annual Breakfast with Santa event, hosted by The Rotary Club of Sun City, will return to the Georgetown Community Center in San Gabriel Park on Saturday, December 17, from 7:30-11 a.m. Georgetown firefighters will make pancakes and sausage served with juice and coffee.
