Family-run restaurant Jaiwai Thai Kitchen brings Thai dishes to the Square

Located in the northeast corner of the Square, Jaiwai Thai Kitchen offers traditional Central Thailand dishes in a small space that’s minimally decorated with a faux hedge wall and neon signs. “We’re not that fancy. We care more about the taste,” Owner Tom Jaiwai explained.

As discussions continue about updating Georgetown’s Downtown Master Plan, city council members met Tuesday, November 14, to go over possible changes that could allow taller buildings within parts of the city’s downtown overlay in the future.

Corrections director gets promoted to Texas council

Jameson Pennington, Williamson County Community Supervision and Corrections Department for Adult Probation director, was elected to serve on the Probation Advisory Council of Texas.     “I’m honored to be elected to this position and look forward to serving our region,” he said in a statement.

Williamson County remembers loved ones during holiday season

The Williamson County Commissioners Court will recognize December 5 as Tree of Angels Day this year. Commissioners approved the recognition during a meeting Tuesday, November 21.

Remember JFK new at Southwestern exhibit

Southwestern’s Distinctive Collections and Archives showcases historical documents, records, rare books, manuscripts and other items. There are over 200,000 rare books and over 1,500 feet of linear archival material at the archive.  The newest exhibit, which is displayed at the front of The A.

ROCK volunteer receives recognition for service

Erik Stoeckle was awarded as a RecognizeGood Legend for his volunteer work with Ride On Center for Kids on November 14.   Nominated by ROCK’s Volunteer Coordinator Susy Turnbull, Mr. Stoeckle has volunteered at ROCK for 15 years, giving 18,000 hours of service to the organization.
