Mental health hospital opens youth wing

Rock Springs — a mental health clinic on SE Inner Loop —  held a ribbon-cutting on Wednesday, January 31, to celebrate the completion of the new adolescent wing to the facility, known as the Maple Unit.

Former H-E-B to turn into Floor & Decor

According to a permit from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the former H-E-B located at 1101 South Interstate-35 Frontage Road in Georgetown will turn into a Floor & Decor.  The project will cost an estimated $7,200,000, with construction starting May 1 and finishing in November.

GISD trustee Jen Mauldin seeking second term

Georgetown ISD trustee Jen Mauldin is wrapping up a three-year board term that began during upheaval brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.  Her term included hiring a new superintendent and managing academic improvement, enrollment growth and budget woes. She has now filed to serve a second term.

Hope on the Horizon   The Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center and CASA of Williamson County will host the 2024 Destination: Hope Gala.    The third-annual galla will occur at the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Round Rock, on Friday, March 8.
