National Fire Protection Week focuses on cooking safety

The Williamson County Fire Marshal’s office is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association to promote this year’s Fire Protection Week campaign, “Cooking safety starts with you. Pay attention to fire prevention.”  Fire Prevention Week is October 8 through 14.

The Palace’s 2023-2024 season opens with this musical that unfolds the tale of a passionate, romantic doctor and a terrifying madman. Dr. Henry Jekyll, in his effort to solve man’s most challenging medical dilemmas, decides he should be the subject of his own experiments.

5th Annual film festival a hit in Georgetown

The fifth annual GTX Film Festival took place September 30 in the Rodney A. & Mary Klett Performing Art Center. Tickets for the event sold out, with a total of 170 people in attendance.

Three properties leave Georgetown ETJ

Three properties previously located within Georgetown’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, totaling 85.746 acres, were de-annexed and removed from the ETJ Tuesday, September 26, after City Council accepted a petition submitted by landowners.

CelLink opens manufacturing site in Georgetown

Electric vehicle car part manufacturer CelLink on September 26 opened their Georgetown location.  The factory will produce flexible circuits used in battery storage units and electric vehicles.

Williamson County hosts first bond information open house

Williamson County residents had an opportunity to learn about and discuss the upcoming county bond election at an open house at the Georgetown Annex off of Wilco Way October 3. Two county bonds will be up to vote in November.
