Wilco director to serve on Texas Juvenile Justice Board

Williamson County’s Scott Matthew was tapped by Governor Greg Abbott to chair the Texas Juvenile Justice Board.
A Georgetown resident, Mr. Matthew serves as the executive director and chief juvenile probation officer of Williamson County Juvenile Services.

More animal shelter space needed in Georgetown

Recognizing the Georgetown Animal Shelter’s limited capacity amid an influx of animals in need, city leaders are evaluating possible partnerships and avenues for a new facility.
Members of city council and staff discussed the issue during a November 22 workshop.

Tree of Angels returns for 10th year in Wilco

Williamson County will hold their 10th Tree of Angels Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, at the historic courthouse, 710 South Main Street.
This ceremony is a special memorial to the victims of violent crime and their families.
