Downtown parking garage gets two art installations

The northside of the downtown parking garage will feature a mural from American graffiti artist Ryan Christenson, who is professionally known as ARCY. According to the city, the mural will highlight Georgetown’s history and present, with flora and fauna and cattle from the Chisholm Trail days.

Williamson County enacts fall burn ban due to dry conditions

The Williamson County Commissioners Court issued a countywide burn ban effective Tuesday, September 30, for up to 90 days as a precaution during increased drought conditions. The order may be lifted earlier by commissioners' court or the county judge if conditions improve.

Real Estate sales on the rise

Updated data from the Austin Board of Realtors show that the market is finding stability across the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area. The latest Central Texas Housing Report from Unlock MLS shows pending sales in August rose for the fourth consecutive month — up 8.

Killeen, Jarrell express interest in purchasing Georgetown water territory

The sale of portions of Georgetown’s water district is moving forward as city staff begin receiving responses from neighboring cities about purchasing Georgetown’s water service territory located in other cities’ extraterritorial jurisdictions.
