Art guide: Murals adorn the walls of buildings across downtown Georgetown

Downtown Georgetown is home to multiple murals panted over they years by local artists.

JUMPING AROUND 

The mural is hidden on the wall behind the oldest building in Georgetown at 711 South Main Street. 

RED POPPY MURALS 

Murals are found at the Georgetown Visitor Center, 103 West Seventh Street, and behind the performance stage at Roots Restaurant, 118 West Eighth Street. 

EVERYONE DESERVES KINDNESS 

Created by GISD students, the art is on the side of Tejas Meat Supply at 101 East Seventh Street. 

LADY OF GEORGETOWN 

Art is panted on a utility cover at the corner of Seventh Street and Austin Avenue along with Cloudy Day at the corner of Eighth Street and Austin Avenue. 

TRADITIONS TO THE FUTURE 

The mural faces Rock Street at 215 West Eighth Street.

RAILROAD RHYTHM 

At Georgetown Title, 702 South Rock , the mural is best viewed from the parking lot at the rear of the building. 

CHISHOLM TRAIL 

The mural honors the early days of the county and is inside City Post Chop House, 113 East Eighth Street. 

STILL MAKING HISTORY 

Painted on the Williamson County Internal Audit building, 901 South Austin Avenue, is one of the area’s newer murals, which pays homage to the city and county’s 175th anniversaries. 

GREETINGS FROM GEORGETOWN 

The mural is on the Walnut Street side of Gus’ Drugs, 702 East University Avenue. Study each letter closely to see more of Georgetown. PICK ME This pet mural is at the Georgetown Animal Shelter, 110 WL Walden Drive.
